Cyberbullying

Cyberbullying is when a person uses electronic communication to bully a person. Usually this tends to happen on Social medias, for instance the big one now a days like Facebook. The person that is bullying usually sends threating or intimidating messages to the other person. I read the article, "Girl’s Suicide Points to Rise in Apps Used by Cyberbullies". Throughout the article it talks about how a young seventh grade girl from Miami committed suicide due to cyberbullying. It all had started when she dated a boy and from there on 15 middle schooled boys would send her messages through an app called "KIK" telling to kills herself and what so not. This clearly is a heads up to parents to pay more attention to their kids since now a days young kids are on the internet at a young age and  most don't know what they might be doing and the consequences from it.

  1. I use that app "kik". I agree parents need to be more aware of their kids on social websites or apps. Because I witnessed how people pray and stalk people on these websites. Especially, parents need to be aware if their child is being cyber bullied or bullied in general. Parents need to become more over protective over these websites and apps for their kids safety.

  2. I read the same article and was horrified that Rebecca was being treated so mean. I agree that parents need to find a balance between prying and awareness when trying to monitor their children's behavior.

  3. I totally agree with you Milton, kids just don't get what kind of world is. For them this kind of things is fun they just enjoy the moment that's all so their parent should control or see what they doing.
